1. Who is responsible

TunaShare Burundi, 06 Av Moso, Rue Kirimiro, Rohero II, Bujumbura, Burundi, is the controller for the personal data processed through tunashare.com. Contact: info@tunashare.com. Full publisher details are on our Imprint page.

2. What we collect and why

  • Contact form: name, email, optional organisation, subject and message. Used solely to answer your request. Legal basis: legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps.
  • Startup applications: founder name, email, startup details, team size, pitch and optional pitch deck. Used to assess your application to the incubation hub.
  • Accounts: email and authentication data, if you create an account, to give you access to your application status.
  • Analytics: aggregated, privacy-friendly usage statistics (pages viewed, referrer, device type). No advertising profiles are built and we do not sell data.
  • TunaRide services: where you use a bike, ride start/end locations and times, needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Storage, processors and transfers

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (database, file storage and authentication) under a data processing agreement. Email notifications are sent by our transactional email provider. Some processors operate outside Burundi and the EU; transfers rely on standard contractual clauses.

4. Retention

Contact messages: up to 24 months. Startup applications: up to 36 months, so we can follow up across cohorts. Account data: until you delete your account. Anonymised impact statistics (rides, jobs, CO₂) may be kept indefinitely — they contain no personal data.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing at any time by emailing info@tunashare.com. We answer within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your competent data protection authority.

6. Cookies

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site and keep you signed in. Analytics is configured without cross-site tracking cookies. No third-party advertising cookies are set.

7. Terms of use

By using this website and our services you agree to use them lawfully and not to disrupt or misuse them. For TunaRide specifically: ride safely and in line with local traffic rules, return bikes on time and in working order, and report damage or theft immediately. Fees or replacement costs may apply for lost, damaged or unreturned bikes. Content on this site is provided without warranty; programme details, pricing and availability can change.

8. Changes

We update this policy when our services change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
