Training & Jobs

Mobility creates careers, not just rides.

For three years, our TunaShare Burundi office in Bujumbura has incubated young entrepreneurs — mostly women — and helped startups scale. With TunaRide, every funded container will open a new cohort of mechanics and station operators, and every station will create dignified, paid local jobs.

Our programs

Four ways into a real career

Station work

Station Crew Training

Two-week onboarding for station hosts: check-in/out, fleet rotation, payments, daily inspections and customer care. Every TunaShare Burundi station is staffed by certified locals.

Rider training

Rider Safety & Onboarding

Free rider training in Kirundi and French: city riding, safety, app basics and responsible bike care. Required for first-time TunaRide subscribers.

12 weeks · paid

Youth Mechanic Academy

A 12-week paid apprenticeship: bicycle mechanics, customer service, basic logistics and digital tools. Graduates earn a TunaRide-certified diploma issued in Bujumbura.

Women-led

Women Operations Program

Women-led station management cohort: scheduling, fleet care, payments and customer relations. We commit to 50%+ women in operations across TunaShare Burundi.

Permanent jobs

Local Workshop Jobs

Permanent positions in our refurbishment workshops: senior mechanics, parts managers, quality control and trainers — all hired locally.
